Ode

An Ode to Flowers

There exists plants that are unique.
Each one has it's own special meaning. The beauty to behold goes beyond everything we have known.
Alas so fragile you are
that you are crumbling on site.
Until the day you are nevermore
I give you my love and adoration.
So please don't wilt away.
I would feel so bad if my guest were to leave so soon.

Sonnet

Another Problem

The clouds are scolding us for our past sins.

The air is suffocating me.

The star we thank upon for giving us

hope is slowly burning us alive as

we wait for a wish to be the savior.

The colors of the world once so refined

have turned grim in its vast search for solace.

One-by-one something else now goes awry

in the vast chronological timeline

that will be forgotten and then repeated.

I believed the butterflies to be cruel

something small should not cause that much change.

The world is filled with our unclean feelings

that there leaves no more room for things to grow.

Ashley: Welcome

Seeds

They say a seedling is destined to do big things,
so burn that statement in my head,
such a talent to be used and thrown away,
then use me till the day I die.
One day I'll bear the fruit of your greediness,
so please don't discard me just yet?
I can endure this pain.

When Spring Comes

Spring is supposed to be a time for a new start.

The world keeps moving, but something seems different.

Why is it that we seem to break a new record every year?

The seasons aren't aligned.

Why is spring still cold?

Why is winter so hot?

What has caused this to happen?

Whatever the answer is all we can do is reflect.
